Overview
Essentially a roller blind with fire resistant fabric, in the event of a fire, an electronic signal allows the curtain to unroll down side guides at a controlled rate until it meets the floor, creating a fire resistant barrier, even in a power outage.
The curtains are gravity fail safe and individual curtains can be installed adjacent to one another to give a continuous bank of curtains.

Metalbilt’s fire curtain systems are manufactured and installed in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 certification
Extensively tested in both single and multiple overlapping roller configurations to BS EN 1634 Part 1.
The fire curtain fabric is rated as follows:
- Class 1 surface spread of flame rating when tested to BS 476 Part 7
- Fire propagation index I =4.4 when tested to BS 476 Part 6
Tested to BS 476 Part 22 and achieved a 4½ hour rating.
