| Aluminium Roller Shutter Standard Specifications |
Curtain: Assembled from extruded aluminium interlocking sections. Slats may be punched for ventilation, or to accept a continuous clear UV resistant acrylic vision panel. Each alternate slat is fitted with a nylon end lock to control lateral movement. Slats can be replaced individually, if damaged.
Bottom bar: Fitted to the lower edge of the curtain is an extruded aluminium bottom bar.
Guides: Specially extruded aluminium channel 40mm x 30mm. Guides screwed to jambs with a maximum 600mm centres.
Barrel: Barrels are fabricated from mild steel tube with a minimum diameter of 165mm. Helically wound counterbalance springs are contained with the barrel.
Security: Flush mounted lock with various keying options.
Operation: Spring balanced or motorised. Motorised grilles have a single phase low cycle motorising (LCM) with adjustable limit switches and control pendant. Operating speed is approx. 200mm per second.

Curtain: Solid extruded aluminium interlocking heavy duty sections with a vertical pitch of 90mm. Slats may be punched for ventilation, or to accept a continuous clear UV resistant acrylic vision panel. Each alternate slat is fitted with a nylon end lock to control lateral movement. Slats can be replaced individually, if damaged.
Bottom bar: Fitted to the lower edge of the curtain is an extruded aluminium bottom bar.
Captive guides: Constructed from extruded aluminium with retaining nib and fitted with a continuous polypropylene insert to prevent metal on metal contact.
Barrel: Manufactured from 165mm steel tube attached to self lubricating bearings rotating on a 35mm steel shaft. The shaft shall be fitted with helical springs designed to counterbalance the curtain weight throughout its operation.
Security: Doors are generally motorised, but can be fitted with standard two point locking.
Manual operation: Manual operation is by hand chain.
Electrical operation: Standard three or single phase 0.37kW GB motorising with enclosed worm gearbox. Complete with reversing starter or door controller. Standard speed of operation is approx. 200mm per second.
